Wailea Tennis Club Professionals

Colin Rowe

Director of Racquet Sports

Colin has over 20 years of playing experience and has dedicated the last 6 years to nothing but coaching and teaching. Growing up in Charlottesville, VA, Colin competed in junior tournaments from age 10 onwards. After being recruited to play Division 2 Tennis at several schools, Colin decided to instead focus on his studies and take a break from the game.

After graduation in 2014, he re-dedicated himself to the game, and began studying underneath the greatest tennis minds in the greater Charlottesville Area. Shortly after, he earned his USPTA certification and began teaching full time. Colin is a strong believer in lifetime learning and has continued to take lessons when he is not busy giving them. He models his teachings after the Spanish method, which focuses heavily on footwork, posture, spins, and most importantly, the will to win. He also recognizes that technique is only a portion of the game and is infatuated with both singles and doubles strategy, and loves to share his ideas.
On his days off, you will most likely find him either Surfing or Golfing, and most of the time, both in the same day!
