The Wailea Tennis Club will hold the third
Tony Vansteen Memorial Tournament
February 13th to 14th, 2009.
$65.00 per player for 1 Men's or Woman's Doubles Event and/or 1 Mixed Doubles Event
Men & Women Open Doubles
Mixed Open Doubles
Men & Women 3.0-4.5 Doubles
Combo Mixed 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0, 10.0 Doubles
This is what Tony Vansteen enjoyed, teaching the fundamentals of tennis, the game he loved.
His wife, Harriet VanSteen, was unable to attend the event. She is battling cancer and is very weak. She is an amazing woman and highly
respected in the tennis community. Mahalo for coming out to the club and supporting this event. The proceeds
from the tournament was donated to the American Cancer Society in the name of Tony and Harriet VanSteen.
The tournament had 89 players and consisted of 53 matches played over the 2 days. The weather held up and all matches
were able to be played on time.
