PLAYING HISTORY:
My tennis journey started when I was seven years old. On the courts of the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, I entered tennis lessons and played junior tournaments in the Vegas area. In 1984 my family relocated the Coachella Valley in Southern California. More lessons, tournaments and High school tennis. I always found myself playing on the top doubles team. In 1989, I played briefly for The College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California. I now enjoy playing tournaments in Hawaii and a national level.
TRAINING/TEACHING HISTORY:
After an eight year hiatus from the game. I found myself living on the beautiful island of Maui in Hawaii!! In 1997 I started coaching tennis at The Wailea Tennis Club. I have been at Wailea ever since, teaching juniors, adults, beginners and advanced players. In 1997, I received a P1 rating from the United States Professional Tennis Association. I continnually attended many teaching conventions, always looking to improve my teaching abilities and staying on the top of the game.
ALL TIME FAVORITE PROS:
I enjoy the players with most fight in them. Jimmy Connors, Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer to name a few. These players give 150% of themselves on the court. I also enjoy Bob and Mike Bryan for their attitude and energy on the court, Always positive!!
PERSONAL COMMENTS:
Having studied martial arts for years, I enjoy blending the mental and physical aspects of both art forms. Tennis is not just a game, It is an avenue to help develop every players inner warrior!
